Terms of Service

dmarcproof is a free, non-commercial service that publishes a confidence-scored allowlist of the systems that legitimately send DMARC aggregate (RUA) reports. By using it, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance

By accessing dmarcproof, creating an account, or using the lookup, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

dmarcproof characterizes the mail servers that send DMARC reports and publishes a confidence-scored allowlist of legitimate report senders, so operators can reject forged or poisoned reports. The service is provided free of charge for non-commercial use and is under active development (data-discovery phase); features and data may change.

3. Not a guarantee — use at your own risk

The allowlist and lookup are a high-confidence signal, not a warranty or a complete security control. Sending infrastructure changes and shared cloud space is ambiguous; you must not rely on dmarcproof as your sole basis for accepting or rejecting mail. The service and all data are provided “as is.”

4. Accounts

Accounts are created by signing in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account. Account holders who add domains also agree to the in-app Acceptable Use Policy presented at sign-in. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service.

5. Domains and acceptable use

You may add only domains you control; control is verified by DNS. You agree not to disrupt, overload, scrape, probe, or attempt to circumvent the protections of the service, and not to use it to facilitate abuse. Automated access to the public lookup is rate-limited and bot-challenged.

6. Published data and disputes

We publish derived data about sending infrastructure (network prefixes, ASNs, and confidence signals), never the contents of your reports and never private tenant data. If you operate infrastructure that appears in the published data and wish to dispute or correct it, contact us and we will review it.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, dmarcproof disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

dmarcproof is provided free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or reliance on the service or its data.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Questions: [email protected].
